What is Sustainable Tourism and why does it matter? It is about inviting people to experience our way of life and the surrounding environment while sustaining it for the future. The population of Colorado, along with tourism, continues to grow at record numbers. In 2018, 86.2 million tourists visited the state of Colorado. With the growing number of people visiting and staying in Colorado, the need to both promote and protect our cultural, environmental, and economic assets is upon us.
